This 7 days Gangotri Yamunotri itinerary is designed for travellers starting their Char Dham Yatra from Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad or Chandigarh. The itinerary allows comfortable travel time while visiting two sacred temples of the Char Dham circuit.

Day 1: Delhi / NCR / Chandigarh to Haridwar

Your journey begins with pickup from Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad or Chandigarh. Drive towards Haridwar which is the traditional starting point of the Char Dham Yatra.

Overnight stay in Haridwar.


Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot

After breakfast start the drive towards Barkot via Mussoorie. The road offers beautiful views of Himalayan valleys and forests.

  • Hotel check-in and rest

Overnight stay in Barkot.


Day 3: Yamunotri Darshan

Early morning drive to Janki Chatti, which is the starting point for the Yamunotri trek.

Return to Barkot for overnight stay.


Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi

After breakfast start the drive towards Uttarkashi through scenic Himalayan valleys.

Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.


Day 5: Gangotri Darshan

After breakfast drive towards Gangotri Temple, located around 100 km from Uttarkashi along the Bhagirathi river valley.

Return to Uttarkashi for overnight stay.


Day 6: Uttarkashi to Haridwar

After breakfast begin the return drive towards Haridwar through scenic Himalayan roads.

  • Short stops for meals and rest
  • Arrival at Haridwar by evening

Overnight stay in Haridwar.


Day 7: Haridwar to Delhi / NCR / Chandigarh

After breakfast start the return journey towards Delhi NCR or Chandigarh.

  • Highway journey with rest stops
