This 5 days Kedarnath Yamunotri itinerary is ideal for pilgrims planning to visit two sacred temples of the Char Dham circuit. Pickup can be arranged from Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun depending on your travel plan.

Day 1: Haridwar / Rishikesh / Dehradun to Barkot

Your Char Dham journey begins with pickup from Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun in the morning. The drive towards Barkot passes through scenic Himalayan roads and beautiful valleys.

Day 2: Barkot – Yamunotri Darshan – Barkot

Early morning drive to Janki Chatti, which is the starting point for the Yamunotri trek. From here pilgrims trek approximately 6 km to reach Yamunotri Temple.

  • Yamunotri Temple darshan
  • Visit Surya Kund and Yamuna River source
  • Trek back to Janki Chatti

Return to Barkot for overnight stay.


Day 3: Barkot to Guptkashi

After breakfast continue your journey towards Guptkashi, a major stop on the Kedarnath route. The drive passes through beautiful valleys and river views along the Mandakini River.

  • Arrival at Guptkashi or Phata

Overnight stay in Guptkashi or Phata.


Day 4: Kedarnath Darshan

Early morning drive to Sonprayag and continue towards Gaurikund which is the base point for the Kedarnath trek.

  • Trek approx 16 km to Kedarnath Temple
  • Kedarnath Jyotirlinga darshan
  • Explore temple surroundings

Overnight stay near Kedarnath temple area.


Day 5: Kedarnath to Haridwar / Rishikesh / Dehradun

After morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple trek back to Gaurikund and continue the drive back towards Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun.
