This 3 days Yamunotri itinerary is designed for travellers planning a short pilgrimage to Yamunotri Dham, the sacred origin of the Yamuna River. Pickup can be arranged from Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun depending on your travel plan.

Yamunotri temple is located in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand and is one of the four holy shrines of the Char Dham Yatra. The journey involves a scenic mountain drive followed by a short trek to reach the temple.

Day 1: Haridwar / Rishikesh / Dehradun to Barkot

Your Yamunotri journey begins with pickup from Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun early in the morning. Drive towards Barkot via Mussoorie route while enjoying beautiful mountain landscapes.

Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri Darshan

After breakfast drive towards Janki Chatti, which is the starting point of the Yamunotri trek.

  • Trek distance: approx 5 km (one way)
  • Route: Janki Chatti → Yamunotri Temple
  • Pony and palki services available
  • Yamunotri temple darshan
  • Holy bath at Surya Kund (if permitted)
  • Visit Divya Shila near temple

After darshan trek back to Janki Chatti and drive back to Barkot.

Day 3: Barkot to Haridwar / Rishikesh / Dehradun

After breakfast begin the return journey towards your pickup city.
